The National Radio Astronomy Observatory had aspirations for developing a new visitors center at the Very Large Array on the plains of San Agustin. This investigation engaged a series of complex issues associated with a very complex set of contextual issues.
The team provided options for potential site selection, aided in clarifying programmatic use and created several architec- tural image options. The development of the scheme gave options for the future and was utilized to aid the stakeholders of the VLA opportunities to seek further funding resources for developing the facility.
